Medea Benjamin of Code Pink told me that Senator McCain did her a favor by shouting, “Get out of here, you low-life scum” when she and her group protested at a Senate hearing.
…the fact that it has been carried out on the mainstream news is not because we got up, because we do this all the time, it’s really because McCain’s reaction to calling us lowlife scum. That has actually made it news so we have to thank John McCain for that…And so I would think that John McCain would be a little more respectful when people get up and exercise that right.[su_left_ad]

Until McCain and his party of fascists can stack the supreme court with 5 more ultra right wing demagogues, citizens will continue to have the right to speak out against oppression and corruption. Calling them low life scum only helps people see how out of touch and despicable the right has become. Thanks, Johnny…maybe he should threaten to arrest the tens of millions who disagree with him?
