Chris Christie: The Most Corrupt Governor in America

Now that former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell has been yanked out of political circulation with his two-year prison sentence, Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) can officially ascend to the post of the Most Corrupt Governor In America. Seriously, mark your calendars because Sunday’s playoff game in Dallas heralded the end of the Christie presidential campaign — that is if it ever existed in the first place.

And of course it wasn’t just the super awkward owner’s box celebration during which Christie, evidently dressed in Fat Albert cosplay, lovingly embraced Jerry Jones and some other guy after the Cowboys clinched the wildcard victory. The freeze frame looks like it’s from the end of a wacky 1980s prime time sitcom, just before the credits roll. Have we actually seen Christie hug another human being, like, ever? Not that I can recall, which made his effusive PDA look even more awkward since he only ever gets that close to other humans in order to hector them at the boardwalk. Oh, and during that brief moment in which Jones denied Christie’s attempt at a high-five, it make Christie look like a wormy, tag-along sidekick who’s desperately seeking approval from the cool kids — and not getting it.

Not a very presidential moment, to say the least.

And as Jon Stewart pointed out Monday night, Christie is the governor of a state featuring Eagles superfans in the south, and Giants superfans in the north. Both groups are huge Cowboys haters. In fact, I would suggest that Jersey is the nation capital of Cowboys haters, twice as many as in Washington, DC. So, why exactly does Christie love the Cowboys so much?

This puzzling question brings us to the corruption part of the story. Realistically, the weird hugging is all just a sideshow compared with what’s emerged in the subsequent two days.

Apparently, Christie attended the game as a gift from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones… CONTINUE READING

So Christie is a Cowboys fan. Boo hoo. At least he doesn’t cancel other peoples’ health insurance, as did the current occupant of the white house.

    • Carla Akins January 7th, 2015 at 08:47

The ACA did not cancel any insurance, it’s not an insurance provider -it’s a law preventing the insurance industry from robbing you blind. Your private insurance company did cancelled your policy.

My health insurance was cancelled in order to comply with the orders of 0bamacare. Blaming it on my insurance carrier is like blaming a German soldier for the invasion of Poland in 1939.

Any chance you live in Mo.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A health insurance company is agreeing to pay Missouri more than $161,000 for falsely claiming a state law required customers’ policies be replaced with Affordable Care Act benefits.

The Missouri Department of Insurance on Tuesday announced Humana Insurance Co. agreed to pay a $161,800 to the Missouri State School Fund for the misstatements.

Are you watching old reruns of Fox & Friends? That meme is a little dusty by now.

Just curious: Had your insurance company ever before “modified” your plan and adjusted (increased) the price? Ever? Is that not the same thing, just different words?

Are you upset that you can not buy a new car without seat-belts (airbags, collision standards, padded dash…)? Lemmie guess, your were happy with your old car and you never got in an accident….

Nope, you must be confused. Requiring the insurance companies treat their customers fairly and without discrimination restrictions allowed millions to qualify for actual coverage. If your carrier chose to cancel policies that didn’t meet the requirements – that’s the insurance company, not the President.

Do you really think the insurance company gave a shit whether or not you’d have the coverage you’d need – or just look for a way to have you pay the premiums, deny coverage and then cancel your insurance when you truly needed it?

Alan I think your biggest gripe with Christie is that he is a successful Republican governor in a blue state. A lot of people in blue states are catching on to the fact that Democrat’s policies are stupid and lead to dismal results. Notice the results of governor elections in Maryland, Massachusetts, and Illinois last November.

    • edmeyer_able January 7th, 2015 at 08:54

Sure if you measure down grading your states credit rating and one of the worst in job creation, he is successful.

    • mea_mark January 7th, 2015 at 09:20

Comparing democratic policies to republican policies, like what is going on in Kansas, I would say you couldn’t be more wrong. Republican policies are destroying the economy where they have been allowed to go into effect.

    • Suzanne McFly January 7th, 2015 at 10:01

Do you have a dictionary? How about you just google the word fact, because you obviously have this word confused with assumption and do you know what assumptions do?………..the fact that Democrat’s policies are stupid and lead to dismal results………………Back up that statement with true facts and then come back to speak to the adults.

And it wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for those ‘requirements’. For example, forcing a 55 year old man to purchase maternity coverage.

    • Carla Akins August 8th, 2015 at 21:21

55 year old men have always paid for maternity coverage – and lots of other things they may never need. You know how insurance works, right?

      • Avory † Blonde October 3rd, 2015 at 12:53

Thats not true at all. Insurance companies never required such stupid coverage before 0bamacare.

        • Carla Akins October 3rd, 2015 at 13:58

It’s how insurance works, a large pot of money supplied by everyone purchasing insurance pays out to those that file claims. It’s the very definition of insurance, before or after ACA.

          • Avory † Blonde October 14th, 2015 at 08:06

Insurance companies rate different policies differently. For example, if you have auto insurance and get several speeding tickets, you pay higher premiums than someone who has a clean driving record.

  18. Avory † Blonde August 8th, 2015 at 20:52

    Me

  19. Avory † Blonde August 8th, 2015 at 20:54

ACA is a law preventing insurance companies from offering policies that don’t meet their requirements. My policy was fine and I haven’t seen an affordable alternative. Thanks to 0bama and the ‘stupidity of the American voters’ (to quote Jon Gruber), I no longer have health insurance.

    • Carla Akins August 8th, 2015 at 21:24

I am sorry you couldn’t find a policy that works for you, but for the majority of people in this country it has provided an alternative to emergency rooms and well, death. If you had a policy that no longer met the MINIMUM requirements, you were simply gambling that you wouldn’t encounter an event that wasn’t covered.

      • Avory † Blonde October 3rd, 2015 at 12:52

Then explain why use of emergency rooms has increased after 0bamacare has taken effect. Those MINIMUM requirements you refer to primarily consist of requiring maternity coverage for a 55 year-old widower. I’m willing to gamble that I don’t get pregnant.

        • Carla Akins October 3rd, 2015 at 13:57

Because 19 states have refused to expand Medicaid and the number of clinics that have shuttered, as a result, along with the mandatory woman shaming that closed women’s health clinics across the country in the last two years has driven traffic to the ER.

  20. Avory † Blonde October 3rd, 2015 at 12:56

An insurance company cancelled my policy in order to comply with the 0bamacare law, signed by your god 0bama.
