Former President George H.W. Bush Home From Hospital

The former president is home after a seven day hospital stay for breathing difficulty.

“He is now resting at home, grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care,” his spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement this afternoon.

The 90-year-old former president was rushed to Houston’s Methodist Hospital on Dec. 23 after experiencing a shortness of breath earlier that evening.

He was kept in the facility through Christmas though his spokesman regularly reported that he was in good spirits and the additional observation periods were done out of an abundance of caution.
