Man Opens Fire On Texas Meteorologist In Station’s Parking Lot
A man is in custody after a meteorologist working for KCEN was shot multiple times in the parking lot of the station Wednesday morning.
Crawford managed to drive away and flag down a construction worker who called for help, according to KCEN.
The suspect is described as a white male, 30-35 years old, who was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and dark jeans. Wilson also said he has a receding hairline.
It’s unknown at this time if the man in custody is the alleged shooter.
Crawford was taken to a local hospital where he was undergoing surgery late Wednesday morning, Wilson said.
Again, we’re not sure if the shooter is the same person suspected of shooting Crawford.
KXXV reports:
He has a semi-automatic handgun. The relationship between the shooter and Crawford is unknown at this time.
The shooter and considered to be armed and dangerous. A perimeter is being set up by DPS, the Falls County Sheriff’s Office, and local police. Helicopters and tracking dogs have been called to help search for the suspect. DPS is telling residents to stay inside and lock their door as they search for him.
Authorities have surrounded a house that they believe the suspect is in on Hudson Ln.
Bruceville-Eddy ISD schools have been put on lockdown as a precaution. KCEN was also put on lockdown as police investigated.

Why would somebody want to hurt my morning weatherman? Come on Texas, WTF, he’s a meteorologist. If you don’t like the weather, don’t take it out my morning weatherman, please. Just it give it some time. The weather changes eventually.
