In case you’re wondering what to do with the leftover turkey, just launch it into space with a GPS tracker device attached to it, because why not. That’s the obvious thing to do.

In an effort to promote a new book Meatspace, author Nikesh Shukla and graphic artist Nick Hearne, along with two friends, launched a tandoori lamb chop into space.

It was back in June that the group of friends launched the innocent lamb chop into orbit by attaching it to a helium weather balloon, along with a GoPro camera and a GPS tracker.

Shortly after its launch they lost contact with the device according to News Channel 5.

A farm worker in Dorset contacted Hearne over a month later saying he  had found the camera about 82 miles from the launch site.

The team was finally able to retrieve the camera about four months later to find the video contained 100 minutes of astonishing lamb chop footage.
