Behold: Dr. Oz’s Q&A On Twitter Was Spectacularly Trolled

Mehmet Oz of the”Dr. Oz” teevee show and cardiothoracic surgeon whose questionable snake-oil-salesman-type “science” has left many of us scratching our heads, sent out an innocuous tweet which of course, was mercilessly trolled.

The Washington Post reports:

Oz has done a lot to damage his credibility as a medical doctor over the years. He came under fire for touting “miracle” weight-loss products that turned out to be entirely discredited; for announcing that his own children wouldn’t be vaccinated (which he blamed on his wife’s insistence); and for suggesting on national TV that the Ebola virus could become airborne.

It started like this:

And ended like this:

Ouch:

Well that worked out swimmingly.

And who do we have to thank for this disgrace? Why Oprah of course!

Yep, it’s a sad day when medicine becomes an aspect of consumerism. Sadly, healthcare organizations (hospitals, clinics etc), healthcare providers and pharmaceuticals do the same things.

Hopefully this dose of medicine will make him realize that not everyone is in compliance with his beliefs.

I get a half dozen or more spams in my email daily that allegedly are about something-or-other that Dr. Oz approves. I have no idea why. I’ve never clicked on anything having to do with him. All I know is he’s some guy on TV and I don’t watch TV at home.
