Sen John Cornyn Tweets Joke About Voter ID, Doesn’t Go Down Well

Senator John Cornyn (R) took to Twitter to make a jokey joke about the voter ID law, because it’s such a funny matter to disenfranchise eligible voters.

In fact, Georgia’s have a really good time with suppressing the vote, to the tune of 50,000 residents, the majority of them being people of color in Democratic-leaning regions.

The voter ID law is transparent if your eyes are open.

Cornyn tweeted, “Wife lost wallet and ID so must wait to get new ID tomorrow; part of vast right wing conspiracy to suppress the conservative vote.”

For people like Senator Cornyn and his wife, getting access to a birth certificate or paying a fee to get a driver’s license replaced doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, for them, it is a joke. But for 600,000 Texans who will not be able to vote in this incredibly important election, there is nothing funny here at all.

This past week, a 93-year-old veteran inTexas was denied his right to vote. I’ll bet that just cracks Cornyn up.
