Ms. Cocke, I’m so glad we’re able to have a reasonable debate about this. You are very eloquent and a role model as to how to discourse with someone with whom you disagree. Kudos to you, Ma’am.

Mr. Colmes. I have respected you for a while but it seems that as time goes on you are becoming more intellectually dishonest as you dig your heels in on issues that you cannot admit that you are wrong on. When things come out that prove my beliefs incorrect, no matter how long and firmly I have held them, I change with the new information. I change my beliefs to fit the truth, not obfuscate the facts in order to make truth fit what I feel it should be. I don’t tell people what to do but you may want to consider some serious reflection on whether or not you are more interested in being truthful or being right. There is a large difference.

          Call me a pessimist, but I have a feeling his change of heart was along the lines of ‘I used to think the birth certificate was real, but not any more’.

          Someone who does not understand that there is no difference between the truth and being right does not inspire confidence.
