Gov Rick Scott Refuses To Debate Charlie Crist Because Of A Small Fan
The Florida Governor apparently has an aversion to small fans. When the gubernatorial debate was set to start, neither candidate was onstage, and there was an announcement saying that neither would be participating.
Rick Scott freaked out over a small fan at Charlie Crist’s feet.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we have an extremely peculiar situation right now,” he continued.
Charlie Crist walked onstage to applause but Rick Scott still refused to come out.
Rodriguez informed the audience that Scott was in the building — but would not be coming on stage.
“We have been told Governor Rick Scott will not be participating in this debate,” Rodriguez said.
Rodriguez continued to explain that the delay was due to a small fan under Crist’s podium. Crist is known in media circles for always having or requesting a fan during interviews.

The anchor said that the Scott campaign protested the fan ahead of time.
“Governor Crist has asked to have a small fan placed under his podium,” Rodriguez said. “The rules of the debate that I was shown by the Scott campaign say that there should be no fan. Somehow, there is a fan there, and for that reason ladies and gentlemen, I am being told that Governor Scott will not join us for this debate.”
One of the panelists asked Crist, who was still standing at the podium without his opponent onstage, if there was a rule that there would be no fan.
“Are we really going to debate about a fan?” Crist responded, a remark which was met with applause.
After awhile, Governor Scott finally walked onstage, and shook hands with Crist, which I’m sure was a totally genuine gesture considering he had a fit over a freaking fan.

Well that was foolish. It’s a fan. What if Christ has a condition where he needs one? That’s ridiculous but I’m from Maine and have a Governor that refused to debate Michaud because of third party ad that accurately reported LePage’s own words calling Social Security welfare and wouldn’t denounce it. I’m sick of the baby fits and diva-like mentality. They are suppose to be servants of the people they represent. Public service is not suppose to be some type “superstar” status. Is this really our legacy? That we can’t be above the gamesmanship? That we can’t reason things out? That we can’t find middle ground? After all, the ability to compromise is the mature, adult thing to do. I’m just not seeing a lot of that and haven’t for quite some time.

Interesting how “liberaland” has selective Omnesia when it comes to knowing the rules of debate. Having a debate is against the rules. But for Floridians, who are already familiar with Charlie Crist tactics, going against the rules is NOT a foreign concept for Crist.
We already know liars need a fan because liars sweat when they lie! lol

Or, the millions Cristy received from companies like Duke Energy but sure mentions donations to Rick’s campaign? And let’s not forget the several people in prison who also donated heavily to Crist.
