Son Shot During Altercation With North Carolina Councilman Father
The son of a Harrisburg, North Carolina town councilman was rushed to the hospital after police said he was shot during an altercation with his father at their home on Sunday night, according to WGHP.
“There appears to have been an altercation between Mr. Cowherd and his son,” Cabarrus County Chief Deputy Paul Hunt said. “A gunshot went, off striking the son.”
The injuries were reportedly not to be life-threatening.
Investigators say there were four or five other people in the home at the time of the altercation and shooting.
The details are scant and it’s not known who fired the gun at this time
Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was accidental. They plan to confer with the Cabarrus District Attorney’s office early this week to decide whether charges will be filed, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Of course it was an accident, the gun was just a prop to show the strength of the owners argument.

“Investigators are trying to determine whether the shooting was accidental”, must be because the son is still alive.

So an elected official has a son who he argued with and a gun may or may not have gone off accidentialy…how does that happen, if you have a gun in your hand you have it there to use, or you have no concept of why you have a gun
