Taliban Spokesman Accidentally Gives Away His Location On Twitter
When you leave a comment on social media, the rest of us can see it. On Friday, the Taliban’s spokesman in Afghanistan gave away his location as being in neighboring Pakistan.
The Tweet by Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed an attack but it also included geolocation information that suggested he sent the message from Sindh, Pakistan.
The Associated Press reports:
Mujahid later sent a tweet Saturday describing the location leak as an “enemy plot.” He also offered his Afghan telephone number to confirm his identity and wrote: “With full confidence, I can say that I am in my own country.”
Twitter says such geolocation data is based on latitude and longitude data or other information provided by users at the time of their message.
In an explanation of geolocation, Twitter itself warns: “Remember, once you post something online, it’s out there for others to see.”

The Pakistani Taliban have expressed their support for Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria and Iraq.
In a statement marking the Muslim festival of Eid, the group appealed to Islamists there to unite against the “enemy” – the US-led alliance.
Addressing ISIS in Syria and Iraq, Maulana Fazlullah, a Taliban spokesman said. “We are proud of your conquests against the enemies. We are with you in good and bad times.”

You don’t seem to share your “issues” you have with the GOP… Lets face it… the Party you affiliate yourself with hurts millions of people… mostly poor people AND you buy into the notion it’s the poor people taking all of you hard earned tax money from assistance programs etc. You just don’t get the fact that the very wealthy are sucking up your money because they pay little or no taxes!! and on and on…. I do in fact have issues with my own Party and the issues I have are no little thing… But the CONSTANT GRIND of your Party NEVER stops… look at what they’ve done to Congress. I think one mistake we on the Left make is to treat everyone to the right of us as a monolithic group who all believe the same thing. We object when the same thing is said about us.
Within the GOP are Republicans who do not like the Tea Party and what they have done. These Republicans need to be encouraged. Right now they are fractured and need strong leaders who will stand up to the TP.
We should look for and be pleased when we can find agreement. This is at the heart of our system. In government, it is designed to offset competing interests to the end they are forced to find compromise and cooperation.
Branding all Republicans as fascists is just as bad as branding all Democrats as commies.
We have far too much nastiness in our discourse. It is ugly on its face, but another reason to avoid it is because it keeps us divided and prevents us from arriving at solutions.
It is foolish to pursue a course we know is counterproductive, especially when we know a superior course is available.

Instead of continuing a search for something to argue about, how about giving the guy credit for answering your question and building something positive from there?
