Rand Paul: I’ll Say ‘In The Spring Sometime’ If I’ll Run
Click here for reuse options!SEN. RAND PAUL: When an executive order looks like legislation, when he appears to be legislating through executive order, so you know, we get this feeling, as least on our side of the aisle, we get this feeling that he thinks democracy is too messy, and you have a comment from him or his spokesperson the other day was “if Congress won’t act, I will,” and that worries us. He thinks, whether its immigration reform, or amending Obamacare, or going to war, that he’s just too bothered by the messiness of trying to get consensus…“There are frankly things I told him I would help him on…And I really think that he came to Congress more, and used his power of persuasion, he’s very persuasive, a great speaker. If he hasn’t been so risk adverse trying to get us to vote on things, there are frankly things I told him I would help him on. Criminal justice reform I would help him on. Trying to bring home some of this America money overseas to stimulate jobs here. There’s a lot of things we could do together, but he’s frankly, I think frustrated and hasn’t really tried hard enough to work with us…
COLMES: When are you going to announce?
SEN. RAND PAUL: What in the world could you be talking about?
COLMES: I know that’s a question right out of left field, maybe it’s right field? Of course you never get those kind of questions, so I figured it would give you a unique opportunity to answer that question.
SEN. RAND PAUL: You know for the last year or so, I’ve been working hard to try to bring a message across the country, to Republicans that we need a bigger party, more inclusive, more people of all walks of life, all races, all socio-economical levels, and talking about how we affect those people. I’m going to do that in six months, then make a decision, probably in the spring sometime.

Rand Paul is delusional if he thinks that this Congress, or any other dominated by gopers, will work with President Obama on anything for the good of the country. While the Senate currently has a Democratic majority, the House is controlled by the gop, and all they care about is to repeal Obamacare, sue the President, and hold hearings about fake scandals. Early in his presidency, President Obama tried to work with the gop in both Houses of Congress, and basically got the finger from them.
Now, when he uses powers granted other presidents, and for things that most Americans want, the gopers whine as Paul did in the interview.

Actually, the GOPTP pretty much controls the Senate as well.

He also said President Obama prefers executive actions to working with Congress because “he thinks democracy is too messy
And when exactly have you tried to meet President Obama in the middle Senator Paul? President Obama has, since that is how our democracy is supposed to work, and the only response he’s gotten from you GOPers is “NO!”

Not only that, but they admitted that their only strategy is to obstruct, then blame Obama for the damage done by their obstruction.
As former Sen. George Voinovich goes on record telling … “If Obama
was for it, we had to be against it. “He [McConnell] wanted everyone to hold
the fort. All he cared about was making sure Obama could never have a clean
victory.”
That’s why they filibustered their own bills and voted FOR bills that they HAD filibustered AFTER the filibuster was broken.

Actually, a quick look at their own work calendar would have made it obvious to him as to why the President doesn’t work with them. Besides the fact that it’s totally pointless, they’re also rarely there. And when they ARE there, the pressing matters are repealing Obamacare and investigating Benghazi!Benghazi!.
