The Weak In Review

Mitch McConnell learns how to dodge a question.

As we are a month away from the mid-term elections, the rhetoric from Wingnuttia has dialed up to 11 and the media is along for the ride of their lives. Let’s investigate and see what we learn!

Schroedinger’s Candidate Rand Paul has made the Texas’s Ebola outbreak his alarm this week, and being a doctor he feels that his opinion carries some weight. So we took notice when he opined on revanchist Laura Ingraham’s show and blamed Political Correctness for obstructing sound, rational, scientific decisions;we wondered what he meant. Oh, it was about the Kenyan Usurper in the White House sending 3,000 troops to assist  in the fight against Ebola in Africa:

“Can you imagine if a whole ship full of our solders catch Ebola?”

While we are chewing on that paranoid thought (and taking notes for a Zombie Apocalypse screenplay to someday write) let’s see what the Paul pere, Ron Paul is saying this week:

“The growth of support for secession should cheer all supporters of freedom, as devolving power to smaller units of government is one of the best ways to guarantee peace, property, liberty — and even cheap whiskey!”

Because secession always leads to a better world, or at least cheap whiskey in the Paul household.  And speaking of secession’s better worlds, what other-wordly advice has  former Florida Representative Allen West made this week?

“Barack Hussein Obama took out his pen and ordered our Military to enlist illegal aliens. In other words, this charlatan has allowed those who have disrespected our Constitution and are not citizens to take an oath to support and defend the very document, our rule of law, of which they are in violation.”

He added: “This is an illegal order and should not be followed by our Military.”

So while Col. West is demanding a mutiny to the charlatan Commander-in-Chief, we have our old pal Sen. Mitch McConnell proclaiming, well, what exactly?

“When asked what it would take to convince him that climate change is a problem, he demurred and said, “I’m not a scientist, I am interested in protecting Kentucky’s economy, I’m interested in having low cost electricity.””

Mitch is not a scientist, but he thinks he’s an economist?

So summing up the week in headlines, what have we learned about the Republicans? That they are a paranoid, secessionist group of mutineers, not scientists. I think that is a fair summary.

So what headlines caught your eye this week?

In other words, just another week in the delusional world otherwise known as the Republican party.

I honestly think the GOP smear machine has leaned so crazy, for so long that most voters take repub gospel as a call to arms for the butterfly net wielding captors in white coats to return these nuts to their funny-farms. “Can you imagine if a whole ship full of (Ingraham, Limbaugh, Palin & RWNJ entertainers) catch Ebola?” Yes many would applause.

Great pic as Turtlehead McConnell dodges questions in GOP’s sustained retreat from reality.

Fear and paranoia is the forte of the right wing and apparently Rand Paul as well.

      Stoney –

Fear and paranoia is the GOP’s stock-in-trade. The original and still the best!
