Protester Heckles President Obama, Boehner Booed A Little At Hispanic Caucus Speech

On Thursday night, President Obama gave a speech at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Gala that was interrupted by an activist who heckled the President, and later, by a smattering of boos at the mere mention of Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio). The president told the crowd that “if anybody wants to know where my heart is or whether I want to have this fight, let me put those questions to rest right now. I am not going to give up this fight until it gets done.”

Through the applause, activist Blanca Hernandez could be heard pleading with Obama to stop deportations now. For about a minute, Hernandez continued to yell at the president as he boasted about the deferred action he’s already taken, stopping a few times to ask Hernandez to listen. She was eventually escorted out. Here’s that portion of the speech, with some of the audio enhanced…READ MORE

As usual he took it in stride and with good humor… although at times he sounded like someone overdue on a loan, pleading for an extension on an already long overdue Promise. The irony is he is asking Hispanics to turn out in significant numbers to elect Democrats who have already turned their backs on him, and the Dreamers.

Well we all have a choice to make. Be patient with the President, who is trying, wanting to do something and continue to vote Democratic, or Vote Republican and assure that absolutely nothing now or ever gets done on immigration reform. I know it’s tough, but beating up on President Obama does not help get this done. He needs the support of a Democratic lead Congress. VOTE BLUE IN NOVEMBER!!!!!
