Rep. Jan Schakowsky Explains How Select Committee Cleared White House On Benghazi

Illinois Congresswomen Jan Schakowsky is the Ranking Member of the Intelligence Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. She appeared on radio with me Monday night to talk about how the GOP-led committee exonerated the White House in any Benghazi wrongdoing. Among the findings of the committee:

— Intelligence agencies were “warned about an increased threat environment, but did not have specific tactical warning of an attack before it happened.”

— “A mixed group of individuals, including those associated with al Qaeda, (Moammar) Khadafy loyalists and other Libyan militias, participated in the attack.”

— “There was no ‘stand-down order’ given to American personnel attempting to offer assistance that evening, no illegal activity or illegal arms transfers occurring by U.S. personnel in Benghazi, and no American was left behind.”

— The administration’s process for developing “talking points” was “flawed, but the talking points reflected the conflicting intelligence assessments in the days immediately following the crisis.”

Almost no media has covered this. However, had the committee found the White House guilty, you can be sure it would have made headlines.

If the results came out stating Obama declared all local sites to stand down, this would be non-stop news from MSNBC to fox to CNN. Isn’t it funny how liberal media throws liberal’s under the bus?
