That’s how many are sold in the United States.

It’s no surprise that Americans are big spenders — the U.S. retail market totaled $3.2 trillion last year, and it’s expected to climb even higher this year, with online retail growing at a rapid pace.

By 2018, annual online spending is expected to surpass $2,000 per person, according to Forrester Research. Amazon alone sells more than $84,000 worth of items online every minute…
