Poll: Americans Favor Obama Over McCain On Iraq
Click here for reuse options!According to a Public Policy Polling survey released Tuesday, 54 percent of voters say they agree more with the president on Iraq, compared with 28 percent who said they agree more with McCain.
Before answering the question, respondents were told about the president’s announcement Friday that he will not send U.S. combat troops back into Iraq. They were also told that McCain believes that the Obama administration should not have withdrawn from Iraq and should have instead left a residual force there.
The poll also reports that voters overwhelmingly oppose sending U.S. combat troops into the country. Seventy-four percent of respondents say they oppose sending combat troops into Iraq, compared with just 16 percent of voters who support that plan.

Sounds like 16% of the voters polled somehow make money off the war machine that America has built. When your livelihood is dependent on War, you will support it. America needs to get rid of the profitable war machine. Profit should never be incentive to go to war.

While I agree with the results of this poll… you cannot govern by polling…most Americans are lemmings

I don’t think anyone expects high level decisions like this to be made via polling, but it’s nice to know that only a small, albeit very loud, minority are crazy. It’s like GWB said, “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, can’t get fooled again. “
