Is The 3rd Time The Charm For Mitt Romney?
Believe it or not, there are some in the GOP who are longing for a third Presidential try by Mitt Romney. In a recent Republican fundraiser in Park City, Utah, all the candidates were received well. But the big buzz and the only guy who “could fill the room” was none other than the fellow who had already lost to John McCain and Barack Obama.
Yet in hallway chats and over cocktails, they’ve been abuzz about recruiting someone else — Romney — into his third presidential race. “Everybody realizes we’re devoid of leadership in D.C.,” said Harold Hamm, a billionaire energy investor who was one of Romney’s biggest fundraisers in 2012. “Everybody would encourage him to consider it again.”
The Romney Family is sticking to the “awe shucks that’s nice but we’re not interested” line; yet with every speech and every fundraising event he headlines Mitt looks more and more like he’s itching to get back into the game. (Bob Schieffer even suggested Romney was not ruling out another run.) While it seems a long shot now, attacking big donors is always key and among the elites in the Republican Party, no one gets them interested in reaching for their wallet more than brother Mitt does.
Click here for reuse options!Anthony Scaramucci, a prominent investor who traveled the country raising money for Romney in 2012, said nobody in the 2016 field has motivated him to do the same. “We’re in sort of a limbo period,” Scaramucci said. “The Republican Party is in a very big need of re-engineering . . . unless you identify who the strong leader is to knit that coalition together, but I don’t see it.”

Another way of saying it — We don’t have anybody, so Mitt we need you to run, everybody else is a loser, big time. You are a loser too but won’t make us look as bad.

Eric Cantor’s primary loss on Tuesday didn’t just stun outside watchers, it slapped the Virginia Republican with shock, too.
“Absolutely … I don’t think anybody in the country thought that the outcome would be what it was I think we’re going to be able to look back at this, and what seemed really bad at the time may turn out to be really good,” Cantor told ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos on Sunday morning.
