Former Second Lady and dirty books author Lynne Cheney is back in the news with some political speculation about how commercial, for profit, magazines choose their cover stories:

“Politics — and I’ve been lucky enough to have a front-row seat on it for a while — it’s never what it seems,” she declared. “You know, there’s always an explanation below the surface that’s usually more accurate than what you immediately leap to.”

“And in this case, I just can’t imagine Vanity Fair running an article that the Clintons wouldn’t approve of,” the former vice president’s wife continued. “And it seems so timed to inoculate Ms. Clinton’s campaign against this kind of thing popping up later.”

That’s more poison than Lucrezia Borgia would probably recommend.

    I have always wondered if she and Darth bother to cut up the babies they eat? Or if they just swallow them all whole?
    Two vile pieces of human garbage polluting what they can with their hideous opinions and vile hatreds.

      The Cheneys have snake-like drop jaws, so they can swallow them whole. It’s a scientific fact.

    Obviously 1) she doesn’t read the magazine, 2) she thinks she can get away with lying about it.
    Christpher Hitchens, a frequent Clinton critic, was a regular contributor and there have been others.
