Tea Party “patriots” and other right-wingers have defended Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s refusal to pay grazing fees to the Federal Government and have been violently foaming at the mouth about “government overreach.” Armed militia members even showed up to take on the Bureau of Land Management.
We wonder how many of these people understand it is not liberal, but their hero and demigod, Ronald Reagan, who is responsible for those grazing fees.
Reagan, in 1986, signed Executive Order 12548 “to provide for establishment of appropriate fees for the grazing of domestic livestock on public rangelands.”
Whoops.
As Gilda Radner’s Emily Litella character used to say on Saturday Night Live, “nevermind.”
