The Dallas woman is now seeking the intended recipient of the letter found inside a book in a Florida Goodwill store.

Sheila Polk found the letter addressed to Helen Rothurmel inside a book she picked up at a Goodwill store in plant city Florida.

Sergeant Albert Alm, who was based in Palm Springs, California, sent it to her back in 1945.

Rothurmel was a member of the African American WACS unit stationed at Love Field in Dallas.

Polk now hopes this love story will come to a happy conclusion.
