Blame it on the fish and chips! About 64% of adults in England are overweight or obese according to the national public health agency.  The findings are based on self reported height and weight from English adults since January 2012.  North East England is now considered the “fattest” region with 68% of its residents reporting a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 25 or more.

England is catching up to the United States where 69% of the population is  overweight or obese. The U.S. held the title of the highest rate of obesity for large countries until last year when Mexico topped the obesity rates.
