Z-Movie Fans, Rejoice: ‘Sharknado II’ Is Coming!

They’re going to have to top (partial spoiler alert) the greatest chainsaw scene since the era of the original Leatherface. I, for one, will be watching what promises to be a cheezy sequel to one of the all-time epic bad movies:

The same duo of ding-a-lings that battled the “Sharknado” last summer, will return for its sequel.

Tara Reid and Ian Ziering will will reprise their roles as shark-baitlicious Fin and April for the follow-up flick, which launched a jaws dropping social media sensation when it aired last summer.

After tense negotiations — during which Syfy considered hiring an entirely new cast, sources said, the pair finally signed on for the project this week.

In “Sharknado 2: The Second One,” a new shark-laden storm dumps thousands of the toothy man-eating monsters on New York City and its up to Fin and April — who beat the Los Angeles Sharknado using sticks of dynamite, chainsaws and weedwackers.

The movie will begin filming on location in New York City Feb. 13, and is scheduled to debut on Syfy in July.
