Sex offender plotted terrorism at Target stores
Now what was that about the threat of scary Muslim immigrants?
A registered sex offender in Florida allegedly planned to blow up several Target stores along the East Coast, including one in New York, to get better stock prices.
Mark Barnett, 48, built at least 10 explosive devices and paid another man to place the bombs on shelves, according to a Department of Justice complaint obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Barnett believed the explosions would cause Target stock prices to drop, allowing him to buy cheap shares in the company, the newspaper reported.
Authorities believe he paid another man to place the bombs, but officials say the alleged accomplice instead went to authorities. Barnett had paid the man $10,000, according to the newspaper.
“Barnett told the [confidential source] not to let the box bounce around or they would explode,” read the complaint obtained by NBC News. Barnett promised they would not kill anybody, but the explosives would “take your hand off,” according to NBC.
He was charged with “possession of a firearm (destructive device) affecting commerce by a previously convicted felon,” according to NBC News.

On parole for felony kidnapping (involving a child) and numerous sexual offenses … wait for it … he faces up to 10 years in prison. (so he’s out in 4)
I know someone who spent 8 years in prison in FL for 26 grams of weed.
Is it me or is something wrong with that …?

That’s why Obama pardoned or commuted the sentences of a bunch of non-violent drug offenders before he left. They were victims of the republicans’ mandatory minimum sentences. He could have released hundreds, or even thousands, more.

Don’t you know that possession of a small amount of a non-dangerous plant (alcohol is more fatal) is an egregious sin and grounds for the death penalty? Certainly more egregious than raping children, right? Mmmmm, not so much. Ask any priest. He’ll tell you.
