Ethics office tells WH: discipline Conway for ‘infomercial’ – she tweets a white supremacist
Michael Flynn is not the only person giving the White House a migraine:
The director of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) says White House counselor Kellyanne Conway misused her official position by hawking Ivanka Trump’s product line on TV and is recommending that the White House discipline her for it.
“Under the present circumstances, there is strong reason to believe that Ms. Conway has violated the Standards of Conduct Act and that disciplinary action is warranted,” OGE director Walter Shaub wrote in a Tuesday letter to White House legal counselor Stefan Passantino.
Shaub asked the White House to respond by Feb. 28 with the results of its investigation and any disciplinary action it may decide to take.
Meanwhile, Kellyanne denies she retweeted a white nationalist after she, well, retweeted a white nationalist:
White House adviser Kellyanne Conway’s Twitter account retweeted a white nationalist on Tuesday, though she denounced the move and “whoever it is” who sent it out.
… The tweet has since been deleted, and Conway denied that she sent it in a statement to BuzzFeed.
“I’ve never heard of Lib Hypocrisy obviously. I denounce whoever it is. I’m going to find out who’s tweeting it. It will be immediately deleted. Everybody makes mistakes,” Conway said.
Conway’s tweet comes amid mounting criticism of her media appearances after she used the phrase “alternative facts” to describe disagreements over the crowd size at President Trump’s inauguration.

It would not surprise me if Twitter were the undoing of this administration.

These idiots never do seem to get it, that deleting something doesn’t mean it never existed. It can be online for a nanosecond, and someone will capture it and save it for posterity. It keeps happening, and they never learn.
