‘Trump and Flynn have sold out US democracy to Putin and Russia’
Those are the words of political columnist David Corn several minutes ago on Twitter:
I think it can now be said: Trump and Flynn have sold out US democracy to Putin and Russia.
— David Corn (@DavidCornDC) February 10, 2017
What would make him say such a thing?
This blockbuster article in the Washington Post that reveals Team Trump lied outright about Michael Flynn’s discussions with the Russian Ambassador to the US. If the “liberal media” has any sense, it should be the top story tomorrow. The story has everything: treasonous behavior, criminal conduct, and the actual prospect of presidential impeachment:
National security adviser Michael Flynn privately discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with that country’s ambassador to the United States during the month before President Trump took office, contrary to public assertions by Trump officials, current and former U.S. officials said.
Flynn’s communications with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were interpreted by some senior U.S. officials as an inappropriate and potentially illegal signal to the Kremlin that it could expect a reprieve from sanctions that were being imposed by the Obama administration in late December to punish Russia for its alleged interference in the 2016 election.
Flynn on Wednesday denied that he had discussed sanctions with Kislyak. Asked in an interview whether he had ever done so, he twice said, “No.”
Michael Flynn, a Strangelove-esque, virulent Islamophobe whose now-deleted Tweetstream makes Donald Trump look like Winston Churchill by comparison, is also a liar.
On Thursday, Flynn, through his spokesman, backed away from the denial. The spokesman said Flynn “indicated that while he had no recollection of discussing sanctions, he couldn’t be certain that the topic never came up.”
That’s the kind of wording a high-three-figure-an-hour lawyer advises you to use when you are neck-deep in the brown sauce and sinking.
And those are just the first four paragraphs of a highly detailed and lengthy exercise in deep journalism co-written by Greg Miller, Adam Entous and Ellen Nakashima.

I think it could have been said a minimum of six months ago.

And the republicans will give him a medal…the gop has sold us out to the corporations, and now to the rooskies…It seems the sixtythree million Americans who voted for trump and the gop, are traitors…

little wonder that Lady Clinton, WINNER in the popular vote by 3,000,000 would refer to them as the deplorables.
now it seems to be up to the US Military to either uphold their oath of protecting and defending the Constitution and the American people or ‘pledging’ their support of wannabe dictator COWARD COMMANDER PONME.
the UCMJ allows them to openly refuse to disobey unlawful orders – (orders like the EO banning persons from countries not tied to Saudi Arabia – the nation where radical Islamic terrorism has it’s founding and religious support).
It’s past time for Democrats to start submitting bills of impeachment, the dismissal of the entire trump administration and re-establish rule of law as the base of our government.

Something else happened in Russia at about the same time that might play into this.
Back in Dec., more than a month after Russia announced one of its biggest privatizations since the 1990s, selling a 19.5 percent stake in its giant oil company Rosneft, it still isn’t possible to determine from public records the full identities of those who bought it.
The stake was sold for 10.2 billion euros to a Singapore investment vehicle that Rosneft said was a 50/50 joint venture between Qatar and the Swiss oil trading firm Glencore.
It shocked the Obama administration that Putin took the expulsion of his diplomats without reciprocating … it would seem that payment was made and Trump had signaled thru Flynn that the sanctions would be lifted.

Somebody needs to put pressure on the Cayman Islands to find out who is behind the shell companies that have a stake in Rosneft. My guess is that it is tRump and some of his buddies. Maybe somebody In the EU or a coalition in the EU can put pressure on the Cayman Islands and find out what is going on for us. Our government can’t be trusted anymore, it has to be somebody else finding out what is going on for us. The world will become a very unstable place if the truth doesn’t come out soon.

Virtually impossible to find out who owns what if they want to hide it. The deal could be deferred, held by 3rd, 4th, or 5th parties until a certain date. Even if you could ever identify the lawyers, trusts, foundations, or entities that made this deal, you’ll never find out who the shareholders were.
Bottom line … who would invest in a country the US just accused of tampering with their election and promised further sanctions …?
Flynn is the weak link …. he’s a zealot and will snap the easiest.

WTF is trump’s “booming US economy”?
all I’m seeing thus far is increased cost of living, increased taxes on fuel and much lower standards for education.

I have no doubt, Trump will leave office believing he was the best president to ever lead America — or any country.
fredoandme February 10th, 2017 at 09:42
if he wants to keep his record for being wrong…..
mea_mark February 10th, 2017 at 11:14
I think there is a good chance he will leave office in a coffin. Thinking won’t be part of the scenario at all.

He can say anything he wants However will people believe him if the trumpster is behind bars or doubled or tripled our national debt
BTW it’s been announced that the cost of the Mexico wall went up a few billion from Paul Ryan’s request to Congress

Republicans take credit for Democrat successes.
They then blame the Democrats for Republican failures.

This is what “the dossier” said.
The quid pro quo was that Putin would help Trump get elected and the payback was lifting the oil sanctions.
The media keep calling the dossier “unverified” but all the pieces fit.
mea_mark February 10th, 2017 at 11:16
Unverified doesn’t mean it’s wrong, it just means we haven’t got all the proof ‘yet’. It’s coming, all in due time.

Let’s never forget Deplorable James Comey FBI Director and republican party operative and the part Comey (R) played in the US Elections for “Putin’s Poodle” Donald (Conman) Trump (R).
