Does Trump really care about curbing violence in Chicago?

Trump mentions Chicago repeatedly in his unending string of post-election campaign speeches public statements. But does he really care about doing something about it? You have to wonder when you hear what Illinois’ GOP governor has to say:

Just four days after Donald Trump took the oath of office and delivered an inaugural address citing the “American carnage” left behind by crime, gangs and drugs, the president threatened federal intervention into one of America’s largest cities.

“I will send in the Feds!” tweeted Trump, who campaigned on a law-and-order platform that often focused on crime in Chicago.

Despite his repeated campaign rhetoric regarding Chicago, Trump hasn’t even bothered to return the requests from Illinois GOP governor to discuss the issue. As CNN first flagged, Rauner made the revelation on on WGN radio’s “Steve Cochran Show” Wednesday.

“He has not [called],” Rauner said. “Our administration, I’ve asked and it [hasn’t] happened now for the last 18 months, our administration has been in conversations with members of at the DEA and at the FBI. We continue to talk to experts around the country, we continue to believe it’s not the right thing for us to send in the National Guard; that would be a mistake.”

Rauner, a Republican governor of Blue State, skipped Trump’s inauguration last week.

Trump may not be too interested in working with either Chicago police or Rauner to determine how best to aid the city. In his interview with ABC News, Trump suggested that he already has the answers to how the violence in Chicago could be easily resolved.

“I want them to fix the problem. They have a problem that’s very easily fixable,” he insisted.

He’ll send in the Feds and wants Chicago to fix the problem. Trump is once again speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

tRump is a narcissistic bully and is looking for a chance to bully someone around. There is no real care involved in anything he is doing. The bumbling, bloviating buffoon is just bumbling his way into a fight with, well, anyone, the bigger the better. He is a bully and he wants to bully someone around and win.

Didn’t Trump promise to “fix the cities” on day one?

      Easy!

the COWARD COMMANDER PONME also promised to bring ALL the troops back home. Now, he’s SENDING even more troops out of the country, while at the same time giving China (the nation whose banks he’s in hock for about $1,000,000,000.00) golden opportunities galore to EXPAND their international trade.

It’s a good thing he’s such a quiet, humble person who helps people behind the scene ~ as his LYING supporters spurt out!

otherwise, some would think he’s selling out America for his own F’ing benefit.

    Remember the rally in Chicago?

Many jumped up and down, with arms up in the air, shouting “F— Trump!

    I’ll bet he does.

Hmmmm….this is distraction in the sense that we are not looking into the Russian connection…that is where we need to intensify our gaze…the other thought, trump and associates, are setting this nation up for a something along the lines of a Putin type of America…it is all making sense, now that Putin is arresting the CIA operatives…I bet trump outed them…

        she’s right on the mark.

why can a high ranking official if there’s nothing to can him for?

AND who leaked him is now our counter intelligence people’s job to find out.

ANY ~ ANY resistance to cooperate from the white house can ONLY have ONE MEANING.

part of team trump’s payback to Moscow.

Russia wants their defense ministry clean so they can work out a quick exit strategy if their joint surprise military attack with trumpland against China doesn’t work out.

It won’t, as China has already been alerted and no doubt is prepared.

Chicom mushrooms will be sprouting up all over trumpland like cherry blossoms in the spring (and about as numerous) – the REALLY BIG THERMONUCLEAR ones the day BEFORE the planned joint attack.

and all the many more troops deployed by the LYING COWARD COMMANDER PONME will be left stranded from their families when that day comes.

Rev. 18:8 ~ Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and
famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

and what shall become of those who are away traveling/deployed? they will have no source of income, the hatred their COWARD COMMANDER PONME has stirred up against those from trumpland will be worldwide by then…..

Because every day for the past 8 years, Donnie drooled over every faux news channel story deriding Messiah Obama44’s ‘Chicago!’ GOP TV addicts don’t know Illinois was ranked 33rd safest gun state.

California, Connecticut, Hawaii, ‘Chicago!’ Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island, Those Nine made the Top Ten on Brady’s 2011 gun-law scorecard and the Law Center’s list of “10 states with the strongest gun laws.” Furthermore U.S. Census’ 25 largest cities as of July 1, 2011, looked at the 2011 FBI statistics. Detroit, Baltimore, Philadelphia and Memphis, Tenn., each had higher murder rates than D.C. and the Obama’s city of Chicago. 42 gun deaths of 33,000+ U.S. annual gun killings are few. http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2013/feb/01/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-says-jurisdictions-strictest-gun-laws-hav/ NRA’s John Lott is a debunked Fool!

I find it hard to believe that people in Chicago would risk a strict background Check then have gun fights in the street. However I DO believe if you gave out / smuggled guns ( no background check ) it would be alot easier to be careless who you shot.

Why consider the obvious when you can hate on Chicago night after night on cable tv

trump/bannon are going to test the police state system…the same one that crushed Occupy, Ferguson, and will, more than likely, crush the Standing Rock protests…

  8. Willys41 January 27th, 2017 at 12:30

It’s just another right-wing bumper sticker deflecting from the FACT that the South, the place with virtually no restrictions on guns, leads the nation in gun violence, in violent crimes, and virtually every category of crime — both by rate and raw number.

  9. Bunya January 27th, 2017 at 14:03

Trump caring about people of color??? C’mon Dave. If the Donald is doing anything, he’s working to increase violence in Chicago.
You know. Too many non-whites in Chicago, hanging around tRump Towers, making the place look good.

Trump speaks in hyperboles, waiting for him to really do something

  13. Lyndia January 28th, 2017 at 19:52

It is impossible to curb the violence in Chicago, because it ALL BEGINS IN THE HOME. I am not speaking as a right ringer, far from it. Just a person with some insight, and a mother at 15 and 18, who’s kids are doing relatively well.

So what has the city and state done in a year where there were 33% less arrests and 80% less stops but almost 300 more homicides? It appears the answe is “less.” Trump, who I normally never agree with, is simply saying, “do something.”
