Donald Trump has echoed North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, after declaring that the day of his inauguration should be a “national day of patriotic devotion” – a rallying cry that would not be out of place in the secretive state’s propaganda.

Trump’s proclamation, which was made official on Monday, has been uttered by Kim in speeches to his 1.2 million-strong military and members of the ruling Korean Workers’ party in recent years.

In an address to a military parade in Pyongyang on 10 October 2015 – the party’s 70th anniversary – Kim thanked the “heroic men and women” of the army and security services who, “in hearty response to the party’s appeal, have worked with patriotic devotion and created one heroic miracle after another” in their quest to build a “thriving socialist nation”.

The phrase also crops up in North Korean propaganda.

    patriotism: – vigorous support of one’s country.

    the urine colored leader of trumpland may be patriotic of another Russia country, but like many of the FAKE PHONY republican patriots? who like to wear flag pins of the BETRAYED Republic on their lapels, the only support they have for this country is to relieve the Treasury of it’s printed notes that are still legal tender and putting them into offshore bank accounts.

    BIG HINT! … if they are in support of UNDECLARED wars abroad, but for some reason just couldn’t quite take the steps to go themselves yet love to wear the flag pin when prancing about, you can pretty much guess CORRECTLY they are FAKE PHONY republican patriots?

    The dictator wannabe is working toward his goal. He is framing the narrative for the stupid, angry people in America. Intelligence needs to be brought to bear and a communication campaign needs to be instigated to educate those that don’t understand what is happening.

    LOL, really scraping the bottom of the barrel. Those words are pretty common and are still applicable no matter who said them. Is anyone going to write articles about how Hillary and Obama quoted Karl Marx? Nah.

      I can’t seem to find any instances of Obama or Clinton quoting Marx. I did find a bunch of things people claim to be similar to Marx, but most of them are taken out of context.
