The 45-year-old said last week that he would leave the Ecuadorian Embassy in London if President Obama freed former US Army intelligence analyst Manning, who was jailed for 35 years for leaking documents relating to the Iraq war.
Speaking from the embassy where he is currently holed up over a rape allegation, he signalled via social media that there would be “many discussions” on his future before Manning leaves jail in May.

I’m betting the far right will find a way to keep him out of the USA.

I’m betting he’s pardoned by President Trump the moment he sets foot on U.S. soil.

You can’t pardon someone who didn’t go through trial and by that time there will be a few battleships sunk

That’s what I thought too. But I heard a discussion about it just recently and the Nixon pardon may have effectively changed that.

One small detail, julian isn’t an American Therefore” pardon ” won’t apply.
2nd cyber crimes probably and most likely will be handled like the 911 commission since we are talking about secretary Clinton getting hacked and Julian being the recipient plus much more

Anyone who runs afoul of our federal laws can be pardoned by the president. No need to be a citizen.

Julian has information that our gov wants and it isn’t going to be easy to extract in court so jail in most likely in his future.
A pardon without court would be almost if not completely impossible

“At the Constitutional Convention of 1787 debate on this point was won by the delegates who urged that pardons be permitted before conviction (see Zimmet, ”The Law of Pardon,” 1974-75
Annual Survey of American Law, page 179; ”The Nixon Pardon,”
Connecticut Law Review, 1974, Volume 7, page 56).
Accordingly, the Constitution simply provides that the President ”shall have power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment”
(Article II, section 2).
The leading Supreme Court case is Ex parte Garland (1867). Justice Stephen J. Field, writing for the Court in a 5-4 decision, held that the President’s pardoning power is ”unlimited,” and ”It extends to every offense known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken, or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment.”

Lol if trump pardons this clown its Donald who will need to Google for a place to hide. Cyber hacking is a hot topic in this country and Julian is on top of most wanted lists.
Try and wrap your mind around how dumb it would be to allow this dude to keep communicating with hackers who continue to cause problems while getting people killed

Let’s take this conversation a step further by saying trump is a ” pardon ” kind of a guy, why doesn’t Ed snowden send a email to trump stating his innocence?
Perhaps you can Google a court case for him as well

If you did a survey on Nixon I’m more then sure most would tell you he should have been prosecuted Maybe that’s why our elected seem to think they can break laws lie, steal and cheat and nothing will happen to them because it’s on the books that Nixon got away with it…
