When you can’t get the real thing…

…the President-elect’s inauguration will involve the outspoken singer — indirectly. The Garden State Presidential Inaugural Gala has booked a Springsteen and the E-Street Band cover band, aptly named the B-Street Band, for its Jan. 19 shindig. The pre-inauguration event is hailed as “a nonpartisan affair” that will “[celebrate] the inauguration of President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect Mike Pence.”

    I bet they play “Born in the USA” and not one of trumps rubes will understand what the song is about as they cheer madly!

        The same with Born to Run. When I lived in NJ a NY DJ tried to get NJ to make it the state song. I guess she never read the lyrics which are not complimentary to NJ. I remember one night when she announced that falling out of her chair was a job hazard. She didn’t strike me as being the brightest bulb in the chandelier.

      The POS-elect has asked them not to perform that particular song.

      Instead, they will play “Back in the USSR”.
