Ethics chief: Trump plan ‘inadequate’

Click here for reuse options!The director of the Office of Government Ethics is taking President-elect Donald Trump to task over his announced plan to separate himself from his vast business empire, saying the steps laid out today “cannot achieve” the goal of removing conflicts of interest.
“We can’t risk creating the perception that government leaders would use their official positions for profit,” OGE Director Walter Shaub said at the Brookings Institution Wednesday. “That’s why I was glad in November when the president-elect tweeted that he wanted to, as he put it, ‘in no way have a conflict of interest’ with his businesses. Unfortunately, his current plan cannot achieve that goal.”

The problem here is a double edge sword. It’s no secret bill is good buddies with trump and if the more honest press wants to take down trump in the name of truth They will have to take down fox news with him.
