    This falls at the feet of Congress for not enacting laws that address this known issue. The person in the FBI office cannot be expected to diagnose someone with mental issues and even if they were a mental health expert, they still don’t have the legal authority to remove the gun.

    “Mr. Santiago had arrived at the FBI building asking for help,” Tolley said. “Santiago was having terroristic thoughts and believed he was being influenced by ISIS.”

    Maybe if the FBI hadn’t been taken over by right-wing ideologues they would have considered he wasn’t a great fit for a weapon. But since the entire Bureau is now a bunch of rabid right-wing activists, I guess they consider it ok for anyone to carry a killing machine.
