Only two electors defected.

Donald Trump has cruised to victory in the Electoral College despite thousands of anti-Trump protesters who converged on state capitols across the country.

Monday’s vote ensures that the billionaire will become America’s 45th president.

Texas put the Republican president-elect over the 270-vote threshold. Electors had been deluged with emails, phone calls and letters urging them not to support Trump. Two Texas electors cast protest votes against Trump, but in the end he had more than he needed.

    It won’t be long now before the republicans that want Pence and a theocratic America, to start pushings tRumps buttons. It’s time to start triggering the orange jack-o-lantern and get him all fired up and crazy. They will drive him over the edge so that they can impeach him and install Pence. First though, they have to make tRump look insane. They don’t want tRump representing the GOP, he has to be an insane rogue. It’s almost checkmate time. The game is nearing the end.

          I’m still waiting for his tax returns that he’s already assured America will be released upon his election.

        I’ve heard that the first thing trump will do is deny access to 18 wheelers on the Interstate system. all cross country shipping will be by rail.

      Seriously, that crazy bar is set so low right now, I doubt you’d get so much as a yawn out of anyone if Trump strolled through the Holocaust museum dressed as Dr. Mengele.

    Here is the only way in modern times, guaranteeing a U.S. Popular vote winner IS Elected:

    The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC) is an agreement among a group of U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their respective electoral votes to whichever presidential candidate wins the overall popular vote in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. The compact is designed to ensure that the candidate who wins the most popular votes is elected president, and it will come into effect only when it will guarantee that outcome.[2][3] As of 2016, it has been adopted by ten states and the District of Columbia.     Unless you are rich, anti government, pro pollution and anti abortion, you were one duped voter to vote for Trump. The Cabinet picks all came from Pence. He picked folks to destroy the agencies they will be in charge of. The repubs will finally get rid of the last of the New Deal (Social Security), the gains in the 1960s (Medicare & Medicaid) and ObamaCare. Remember folks, repubs don’t care about you and me at all. Just wait.
