Electors get police protection

Posted by | December 18, 2016 17:41 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

This is the America we live in now.

One elector, Ash Khare, said he and each of the 19 others have been assigned a plainclothes state police trooper for protection.

“I’m a big boy,” said Khare, an India-born engineer and a longtime Republican from Warren County, who estimates he receives 3,000 to 5,000 emails, letters, and phone calls a day from as far away as France, Germany, and Australia. “But this is stupid. Nobody is standing up and telling these people, ‘Enough, knock it off.’ ”

Pennsylvania is not among those states that require its electors to vote for the candidate who won the state. This year, that was Trump, who became the first Republican presidential candidate to win Pennsylvania in nearly three decades.

Nonetheless, electors are usually party stalwarts — people handpicked by the presidential nominee and their state parties and expected to remain loyal.

hehehe…freakin’ Trumpers…I live in and among them…I try not to look them directly in the eyes….they start drooling, and snot slowly dribbles down their chins as you try to reason with them….I kinda feel like Jane Goodall, only in the jungles and undergrowth of Colorado…the Trumpanzees that I observe are prone to violent outbursts of derp…followed by periods of silent derping…as they get their daily Fox News lobotomy…oh the horror…the horror…

Some think the vote is going to flip Others believe no change in their vote

Yea I can see where paranoia sets in when some or all of the electors get exposed and where they live. This is starting to look like a south American soccer championship where the losing team goes into hiding in fear of their lives

    Crazy stuff 💀

I wonder if any will flip. It won’t make a difference really, but still, I don’t recall this much attention ever given to the possibility of an electorate flipping.
