Members of his National Golf Club in Jupter, FL are pressing charges, according to the Palm Beach Post.

“Club members say Trump hasn’t returned an estimated $6 million to members of his country club… Trump bought the club from the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club & Spa for $5 million in 2012. When the Ritz owned it, deposits ranging from $35,000 to $210,000 were refundable. But once Trump bought the club, some club members say Trump changed the rules and refused to return their deposits.”

Unfortunately this sounds like a civil offense rather than criminal, so we’ll have to lock him up on something else. I’m sure there will be plenty to choose from.

Pretty sure new ownership has the legal ability to define, and/or, make changes to club membership. Also, it’s unlikely that Trump personally made the changes, more likely his management team implemented the change in policy. Question, “are they suing Trump personally, or are they suing the business entity?”

Pretty sure if deposits were refundable when one joined, management can suck balls if they change the rules for established members.

When acquiring a company, you also acquire their obligations and debts.
