U.S. gun sales reach single year record

Maybe they won’t need guns as much when we have a white president.

t appears more guns were sold in the United States during just the first 11 months of 2016 than in any previous year.

More than 24.7 million criminal background checks for gun transactions were processed between the start of this year and the end of November, according to data from the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or NICS.

By comparison, about 23.1 million such checks were processed in all of 2015, which was the highest total ever for a single year dating back to the late 1990s, when the NICS began.

    Is America now a safer place–
    only until the next child ‘finds’ a loaded pistol at home or in mother’s purse

      I would guess that the majority of buyers HAD guns, and were just improving their chances of defeating the evil gubmint.

    Great. More chances for innocent people to be shot due to stupidity and carelessness, or cleaning a loaded weapon with children in the room.

    A record low 22% own 1 or more guns today. Thankfully Darwinism turned most gun owners into wormfood. But 36% of U.S. adults either own a firearm personally, or live with someone who does. 80% who live in an NRA household want background checks on all guns & ammo sold. The average gun owner owned 6.6 firearms, and that the top 3 percent of gun owners owned about 25 guns each.
