Lieberman: Democrats can’t win by sliding left

Posted by | December 4, 2016 08:39 | Filed under: Politics

Joe Lieberman warns Democrats not to go left.

Here is my fear about the future of the Democratic Party. In a way, relatively speaking, Hillary Clinton was representative of … center-left of the Democratic Party, not the pure left,” Lieberman said in a radio interview with John Catsimatidis on Sunday.

Now I think there will be a real attempt by ‘the left’ left of the Democratic Party to take over the party, and I don’t think that’s the way to go to make it an effective party,” he continued.”It’s certainly not the party that I got drawn to … it’s not the party that I worked so hard for when Bill Clinton was president and it’s not going to be a winning party.”

Just the old guard watching out for the old ways. Hillary was far from center left she was center-center. She was as much center-right as she was center-left. Lieberman needs to go away the clinton presidency brought the center slither towards corporatism and away from middle class.

A snake has no good sides… just all slimy treacherous sides. That’s you Lieberman.

Where’d Lieberman go? I thought he had retired and moved to Fiji….he was totally invisible for the last 18 months …..why is he speaking out now?

Democrats may not be able to win, period. They have corrupted themselves. It is time for a new party in America that actually cares about the people more than corporations.

I still think the Dems can be that party.
I feel like they are, at heart… there’s just too many Dems who got lost in fund raising and listening to their echo chambers.

We’ll have to see what happens, but with Pelosi retaining her role, it won’t change as much or as fast as I would like to see.
That being said, she may be able to facilitate if she doesn’t insist on plugging her ears and saying everything is great when it isn’t.

I’m not very optimistic. Between Pelosi and Schumer, it sure looks like business as usual.

          Too true… *le sigh*

(But at least we got some progressive/liberal fresh blood in there!)

Who care what he says? His time is over.
