Trump: Another company moving to Mexico; Sanders: What are you going to do?

Donald Trump says another company is moving to Mexico, costing 300 workers their jobs.

In a post to Twitter on Friday night – shortly after messages defending his phone conversation with the president of Taiwan which prompted a diplomatic complaint from China – Trump said: “Rexnord of Indiana is moving to Mexico and rather viciously firing all of its 300 workers. This is happening all over our country. No more!”

…Critics, including some Republicans, said making such agreements with individual companies amounted to corporate welfare and was not an effective way of keeping or generating US jobs.

Sanders, who criticized US trade policy in his race against Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, said Trump’s deal with Carrier set a “very dangerous precedent” of having taxpayers subsidize multibillion dollar corporations to “beg them” to keep jobs in the country…

On Saturday, he challenged Trump over his Rexnord tweet.

“What are you going to do, @realDonaldTrump? Stand up for working people or give the company a massive tax break?” Sanders tweeted.

It makes sense that Trump would be focusing his “keep jobs in America” PR campaign in Indiana.

The Governor of that state has a vested interest in bolstering Donnie’s image by using taxpayer-funded subsidies to “bribe” local businesses into keep a small workforce in the state.

Just wait . . . Any leftovers of that 7 million taxpayer gift that don’t go directly into corporate bonuses will probably be used to purchase automated machinery to replace the few workers who got a temporary reprieve with this “Great for ‘Murica’ Deal”

“He raised the cautionary example of Carrier Corporation, which this week decided to keep a few hundred jobs in the U.S. in exchange for a seven-million-dollar government incentive. “I warned those boys at Carrier: we can do this the easy way, or the hard way, where you get seven million dollars,” he said. “They backed down sofast—it was terrific.”” ~D. “It is unclear what steps would have to be taken by federal authorities before Trump could retaliate against individual companies shifting jobs abroad.”

What is clear is he isn’t even in office yet and already proving he’s unfit for the office.

I hear the vacancies are filling up fast Don’t know what to tell you about the cartel’s in Mexico but there are plenty of shallow graves that have an interesting story behind them.

China can make people disappear too especially with the trumpster at the wheel.

It’s a very short walk to the NK border after a long cargo van ride

I guess this all means we will soon have very few friends by 2020

They don’t need NK, China is a big country, with lots of places to disappear people to. They’ve got their own version of Siberia.

              • robert December 3rd, 2016 at 20:03

There is a reason why you hear about NK and not China but I won’t get into the details

Almost forgot to tell you there isn’t a free press anymore in China since the UK was told to leave Hong Kong so that might explain why you don’t hear of any crime
