China warns Trump

China is warning Trump that there is only one China to talk to  following his diplomatic blunder.

The statement from the foreign minister’s office came after reports that Trump violated the “one China” policy and spoke on the phone with Taiwan’s president Friday. It was the only known time in nearly four decades that a a U.S. President has spoken on the phone with the president of Taiwan.

China views Taiwan’s president as an illegitimate leader, because they still view Taiwan as part of China. The U.S. has been delicately balancing that for more than 30 years.

“It must be pointed out that there is only one China in the world,” the Chinese foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday, according to the Financial Times, which first reported the call between Trump and Taiwan’s president Tsai Ing-wen.

Trump’s sense of patriotic duty is more about padding his financial portfolio with GREEN than about ‘red, white, and blue’.

I would say turn it over to the republican FBI – they’ll make up whatever the republicans want anyway, plus the republican news media will just ignore it until the republicans tell them to report whatever they want US to hear.

F’ing with China (the nation that builds actual islands and floats them to wherever the disputed territories might be) is kinda like flipping matches in a gunpowder factory.

    sooner or later

For this issue, I think he really nail it. China has always been giving
trouble to the US and its ally in the Pacific first.

When Taiwan got a new President, China does something provocative.

Every time Japan has a new PM, again China does something provocative.

Every time the US has a new President (since W.Bush) or a new secretary of state China does something provocative.

Every time Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippine do something important with the US or with one another, China does something provocative.

now, Trump doesn’t even take the office yet, but he already troublesome the Chinese. He punch first talk later, Trump 1 : China 0

China will sure test Trump when he take office next year. We will see what Trump will do. He is so unpredictable, no one know what he will do but I get a feeling, it will be an epic! China will learn, it is not easy to deal with a bully as they has always been to countries around them.

not a pro-Trump, by the way

China holds $1.4 trillion in US treasuries.

Would it be provocative enough for you if they demanded payment and crashed the US economy?

Popular Science in 2013 estimated that 50% of our products are fully or at least partly made in China. If you cut 50% of non-food consumables from the market, expect domestic prices to skyrocket. Then add in the hit that companies who sell or use sustain from a drastic cut in supply.

“The U.S. trade deficit with China was $365.7 billion in 2015 This is a new record, up slightly from last year’s record of $343 billion. The trade deficit exists because U.S. exports to China were only $116.2 billion while imports from China hit a new record of $481.9 billion.”
