Trump Organization eyeing Taiwan for luxury resort
Donald Trump’s call to the leader of Taiwan has more to do with his business than what is best for the United States.
Click here for reuse options!As it turns out, the head-scratching move by Trump may not be so surprising afterall. The Gothamist LLC publication Shanghaiist—which covers news and events in China—Trump is eyeing Taiwan as his next location for a series of luxury hotels and resorts.
In November, the mayor of Taoyuan, Taiwan confirmed to China Times that a representative from the Trump Organization visited the municipality in September. Reports indicate Trump’s son Eric Trump will visit Taiwan later this year to discuss “a large-scale urban development project aimed at capitalizing on Taoyuan’s status as a transport hub for East Asia.”

I just have a question, and I don’t want to fight with everyone—if Trump is going to do business with other countries to build up our network of contacts…what is wrong with that? I could be mistaken, but it seems to me that other countries also want the revenue and the partnerships with the U.S…..his company will be run by his children. I’ll be watching, also, to see what happens. I think that since he’s working for no pay–we foot the bill for whoever’s in office…..when he’s done in 4-8 years, he will have done his best to build up our resources. None of you can say different…..he’s not even in office yet.

tRump has filed bankruptcy 6 times, he’s not economically smart. this “deal” with Carriers, well, it’s not a deal it’s joke. 7mil dollars was given to them to keep 800 people employed. where do you think that money is coming from? IN tax payers, whose taxes will increase because of it. Carrier is still closing its plant in Huntington IN, because they are sending those jobs to Mexico. what else you may not be aware of is that tRump has stock in Carriers parent company that makes billions, so there was no need to give 7mil at the tax payers expense to his own company.
tRump also imports immigrants to this country to work on his many properties and his hotels above hiring American citizens.

Are you aware that Taiwan and China are already straining under a conflict and have been for years. A deal in Taiwan, with the name tRump on it, is
1 a major breach of protocol.
2 a slap in the face of mainland China.
3 still looks like and reeks of greed.
And he’s not even in office yet.

The president is paid a salary no matter what he says..(tax payers money)
It is up to the president to do with it what he wants…
He can donate his salary to a good cause or give it to his children..
But the salary is still paid, if he keeps it or not is up to him..

Having his companies run by his children isn’t enough. If he owns stock, he still benefits when the companies make a profit. The only way to eliminate the conflict is for him to sell any interest he has in the companies.
