Just in case: Best places to survive nuclear war, including one U.S. city
From the frozen deserts of Iceland to the built-up city of Cape Town, these places are all ideal for surviving an apocalypse scenario…
Iceland
As Insider reports, Iceland is hundreds of miles away from any other land, so it shouldn’t be a target in a World War 3 scenario. What’s more, it’s a great spot for fishing, so survivors would have an abundant food supply to keep them going until the world is rebuilt.
Isle of Lewis
This Scottish island is self sufficient and situated three hours away from the mainland.Simply put, it’s a nice enough place to live without attracting any attention to yourself.
Antarctica
It may be a bit nippy, but in a worst-case scenario, you’d probably be safe if you managed to carve out a life in the continent’s barren wastes.
Closer to home:
Kansas City
In the event of a non-nuclear war, this is the place to be. The city is surrounded by fertile farmland, and is the ideal spot to defend against attackers.

This is one of the dumbest articles I have ever read. In an all out nuclear war there will be no survivors. You might not be killed in the first blasts because you have hunkered down in some shelter but you will eventually have to come out and when you do everything will be contaminated in a nuclear winter. You will die a slow and painful death from radiation, starvation, and/or dehydration. I’d rather die in the initial blasts…

I thought that was Lawrence Kansas. But the only thing I remember about that movie was all the disclaimers after commercial breaks. BTW a good 80s nuclear war movie is The Miracle Mile.

I’m sure the government has built an underground city were “certain” people will survive and can live out their lives like normal people or some other plan for those who are worthy to live! Maybe I watch to many movies, haha!
