Could it be? Is Darrell Issa about to be defeated?

If the poll numbers are to be believed, we could be seeing the last of the incompetent House Oversight Committee ex-chairman soon as Democrat Doug Applegate takes a lead in the most recent poll:

Issa is flooding radio, TV, and mailboxes with anti-Applegate propoganda because he has money to burn. But as the Colonel says, “you can’t buy votes.”

No link yet to the poll, but here is an excerpt from the Applegate campaign’s e-mail:

This poll puts us at 46 percent and Issa at 42 percent. The lead is still within the margin of error, but it is a very good sign. This poll proves that what we’ve been doing is working. The phone banks, canvassing, and outreach events have helped us connect with more voters. The ads we’ve been airing have been effectively sharing the truth about Issa’s shameful record.

Poor Darrell. First car alarms, now this. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/9a1c45b6d7b378f55ffa366d43195a97ad0b64a60ebda714beef9613bef6142d.jpg

Darrell did quite well in the alarm business. His product was so good, Ford had him as an OEM supplier of alarms.

Ford alarms are nothing to brag about so it’s not saying much…

Remember that this was decades ago. I have no idea what Ford uses today.

Quick Darrell, it’s not too late. 32 days till election day. Lots of time to hurry back to Capitol Hill and hold hearings investigating your opponent’s role in the Benghazi cover-up.

That’s OK…he always has his auto theft and arson skills to fall back on.

As the richest person in Congress, he could live off the interest from all the inside trading.

    • Duke Woolworth October 7th, 2016 at 06:26

Theft, yes, arson, no. Only his customer, whose inventory of (defective) transformers got damaged and was paid for by insurance, benefitted.
Darrell lost in that fire, caused by a heater left on by mistake. I was there as a supplier. I got paid, the customer got paid but didn’t pay me. I was out $18000.

I doubt that he could take on today’s anti-THEFT features.

Trump’s coattails further crater the down-ballot candidates, leaving Issa in the dust.

Via the rightwing Hill: An analysis of the numbers said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is a drag on Issa’s campaign — Issa has been a vocal supporter of the bombastic candidate, who has a high disapproval rating in the 49th District and trails Democratic standard-bearer Hillary Clinton by 5 points, (D-HRC) 46% to 41% (R-DJT).

I’m thinking Issa did it to himself…he blew the investigations of HRC, so that it spot lit the fact that the investigations were only political to hurt Hillary…And Issa is a career criminal hiding in the GOP…

Obviously, He is not throwing as many High Priced Wine Parties like He did when investigating Hillary. Oh, That’s Right, He paid for those Wine Parties with OUR TAX DOLLARS.

I do not want to see Darrell ‘Mr. Car Thief’ just beaten in the political arena. I want to see him charged with fraud for the witch hunts that he conducted with tax payer monies during his tenure in the CON-gress of the United States of America.

May he be one of many to be removed.
