Eric Trump admits it: Dad’s taxes are political poison

Posted by | October 5, 2016 13:00 | Filed under: Politics

One of Donald Trump’s sons has a moment of refreshing candor:

Appearing on a Maine radio station, WGAN, Trump’s son Eric revealed a more plausible explanation: the content of Trump’s tax returns would damage him politically.

“They would go through every single page for the last 400 years and they would make issue of everything,” Eric Trump said, “You almost couldn’t at this point.”

Eric said that Mitt Romney’s experience taught him that releasing tax returns is counterproductive.

“As soon as [Romney] released his tax returns they just killed him and they pounded him and they pounded him and they pounded him. It almost becomes a total distraction,” he said.

And yet Team Trump has not “pounded” the Clintons over their tax returns. Hmmmm…

Kid, you’re on a roll. Enjoy it while it lasts, ’cause it never does.

first, he didn’t “appear” on a radio show. he spoke.

second, mitt romney lost because no one believed he was a human. the taxes were only incidental.

So evidently corporations are people, (according to him) but he’s not.

they don’t care about any of that.

Finally,” they say “Someone who thinks like me”.

The Clintons released 39 years of tax returns. Nothing there. Not a peep.
Yet they say nothing about it by my observation. This should be an issue for them, maybe an ad.

Frankly there’s much more political poison besides the taxes concerning Trump…

    • Larry Schmitt October 5th, 2016 at 18:32

By now, the mere mention of his name should be poison. The fact that it’s not says a lot about the Republicans.

      • Gina Bousquet October 5th, 2016 at 18:39

        Precisely so. :)

      • whatthe46 October 5th, 2016 at 20:56

oh, he’s losing a lot of money and those in the political sect that are supporting him, are committing political suicide.

What I find most shocking is that Eric believes that his father Donald Trump is over 400 years old…
Am I the only one frightened by the revelation?…
    Talk about an October surprise..

15% isn’t going to pass in the house or senate Not even for the average Joe worker who’s getting bent over for 30% or more. Trump’s party will never make this a law
