Trump employees call for boycott of all things Trump

Posted by | October 1, 2016 06:00 | Filed under: Economy News Behaving Badly Politics

As the craziest presidential campaign season ever seem to get crazier by the day if not the hour, one candidate’s employees decide to hit him where it hurts – in the pocketbook:

A Nevada restaurant workers union is calling on a nationwide boycott of all things Donald Trump in light of the Republican nominee refusing to negotiate a new contract with more than 500 eligible workers at his high-rise Las Vegas hotel.

“After a disgraceful anti-union campaign against their own workers, the hotel still refuses to negotiate with their employees,” said Geoconda Arguello-Kline, the top officer of the Culinary Union, which represents about 57,000 Las Vegas-area hospitality workers. “We call on allies and workers to stand in solidarity in a national boycott until Donald Trump, the ‘Great Negotiator,’ comes to the table.”

The so-called #BoycottTrump campaign calls on Americans to refrain from eating, sleeping or playing at any of Trump’s many hotels and golf courses.

Could be effective since most of his ‘followers’ can’t afford to stay at his places.

Taco bowl, as seen on Trump’s desk May 5, $18 with Dago’s famous sauce.

    Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia!!!

He’s finally free falling and, oh boy, won’t he ever regret running for president!

I bet he didn’t see all the negatives coming against him personally, his businesses and his stinking brand now.

Of course, it was a great ego trip for him, but for a very high cost.

He’ll be very busy from hereon defending himself against fraud on: Trump University, Trump Foundation, Bribery, Cuba business, Russian dealings and many, many more that he’s recently been exposed.

He’ll be very lucky to get many lawyers, supplier, contractors, workers, etc that he’d need after everyone knows now how he stiffed 1,000’s of them.

There’s justice and there’s God after all!

    Sweet Sweet Sweet!

“…won’t he ever regret running for president!” i’ve been saying that for some time. it’s been his narcissism that has kept him in the race. he can’t see failure and that’s his downfall. this has been glorious for me to witness. he so deserves to be knocked down quite a few pegs.

Several businesses and business owners have endorsed Donald Trump. Many depend on an immigrant workforce and an immigrant customer base, which makes it even more offensive that they would publicly endorse a candidate who has repeatedly made racist, misogynistic, bigoted and divisive remarks.

Here is a short list of pro-trump companies.

    Bally’s Casino Tunica

    Raffles International

    Raffles Hotels & Resorts

    Fairmont Hotels and Resorts

    Swissotel

Miramax (owned jointly with Qatar Investment Authority, Tutor-Saliba Corporation and The Weinstein Company)

    PayPal

    Formula One Group

    NASCAR

    Fountainbleau Resort Las Vegas

    Pep Boys,

    Tropicana Entertainment,

    West Point Home

    The Home Depot

    UFC

    Beal Bank

    Las Vegas Sands

    Boycott everything trump.

so, will this tarnish his reputation with the blue collar, white working class? Ya know, the very base in which he counts on?…how anti-union can he be, without the uneducated finally taking notice? so, in celebration of these past few days of the revelations of Trump’s real business practices, I will leave this photo…enjoy the moment of Trump’s failure…

    • Larry Schmitt October 1st, 2016 at 12:03

His problem is, the white, blue collar voters are a minority now. Attacking every other group – women, blacks and Hispanics, immigrants – makes it pretty close to mathematically impossible for him to win.

    • PattyJM October 1st, 2016 at 14:48

The problem is that his blue-collar base has heard nothing but anti-union propaganda for decades, now. Say “union” and they will think of corruption and lost jobs. Were that it were not so but that’s what progressives are faced with.

Some years ago I made an effort to get Nextel’s Seattle office unionized. Over and over again people said just those things.

This boycott attempt won’t affect his base because they do not understand what a union is and how they could benefit from being in one.

      • StoneyCurtisll October 1st, 2016 at 17:45

He has the backing of one union…..

I have never been exposed to anything “trump” until this election cycle..
And I will continue to not do anything that puts a penny in trumps pockets.

              • The Original Just Me October 1st, 2016 at 23:24

If you do the work, you need the pay to buy family groceries with. I wondered if He might not get all of the job done when I first read about it. Me and My Hunches.

        • StoneyCurtisll October 2nd, 2016 at 09:15

Or if it was “under budget” because he didn’t pay the contractors.

Trump is under budget in the Human Department.
