    “In the other House race, for the 2nd District encompassing rural Oahu and the neighbor islands, the seat held by U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was hers to keep. Gabbard received 79,562 votes. Rival Shay Chan Hodges, a Maui resident, had 14,567 votes.”

    Whatever the case, the point is… Tulsi Gabbard won her Hawaiian primary last night (with almost 80% of the votes!)!

      Coincidentally, last night I was perusing cable channels, and came across the CHILL station. They show reruns of The Outer Limits! DVR is set on that, can’t remember the last time I saw an episode, what a treat. ;)

        Good morning Gina !
        You would need to be able to watch Outer limits to understand why i said that. The show is kind of similar to the old Twilight zone show, if you have ever seen that.
        I clicked on a topic and I got strange looking coding instead of the topic and comments…and that damn pop up kept following me on the screen and to top it off, the “want to chat?” staring at me on the bottom of the screen…it was like someone else was in the room with me !

          I haven’t watched either show, but I got the same here yesterday. You’re absolutely right, spooky! :) Once you kindly mentioned my family, as you always do, I must let you know my poor dad was buried the day before yesterday, after two weeks in the ICU. We all are very distraught, it was an awful hard time and he suffered a lot. He’s resting in peace after a beautiful ceremony full of love and respect for him.

            I am so sorry about your dad…Yes, I watched my dad suffer before dying…we took care of him at home, and that is where he died…Not easy to watch, and yet, it is still part of life…My thoughts are with you my friend…

              We took care of him home too and he wanted to die at home, not in the hospital, but he had an infection, doctors’ calls and antibiotics did not solve it, he became irresponsive, we chose to try to defeat the bacteria… Thank you for the inspiring photo dear friend.

      While I have never been a big booster of Hillary, I have also seen the horrific attacks on her, since her days in Arkansas, and honestly believe that much of it began as sexism, as she refused to give up her activist role and become a ribbon cutting First Lady.
      As Obama said at the Convention, she may be one of the most prepared individuals to run for this office in generations. I watched all of both conventions, though the RNC forced me to drink in excess, and learned more about Hillary, and was impressed with so many that have known her for many years, and who have been touched by her dedication and concern for others.

    70 percent of recruits were listed as having just “basic” knowledge of
    Shariah — the lowest possible choice. Around 24 percent were categorized
    as having an “intermediate” knowledge, and just 5 percent were
    considered advanced students of Islam.

    THE LIST JUST GOT 2 NAMES LONGER

    Two GOP lawmakers have joined a
    group of Never Trump Republicans urging the Republican National
    Committee to cut Donald Trump loose and focus instead on protecting
    Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

    Reps. Scott Rigell
    (R-Va.) and Reid Ribble (R-Wis.) have signed on to a letter with 121
    other GOP operatives and former elected officials urging the RNC to
    divert resources away from the top of the ticket.

    “Given the
    catastrophic impact that Donald Trump’s losing presidential campaign
    will have on down-ballot Senate and House races, we urge you to
    immediately suspend all discretionary RNC support for Trump and focus
    the entirety of the RNC’s available resources on preserving the GOP’s
    congressional majorities,” a draft of the letter states.

    Rigell
    has publicly stated his support for Libertarian Party candidate Gary
    Johnson, while Ribble has said he’s considering voting for the
    Libertarian ticket.

    The RNC has denied several reports that
    Chairman Reince Priebus has warned Trump to get his act together or risk
    losing support from the national party and says it is not considering
    abandoning the nominee at this point.

    Trump and the RNC have a
    joint fundraising agreement in place, although last week Trump mused
    about how the RNC would suffer if it cut ties with him because he’d stop
    raising money for the national party.

    The billionaire raised
    more than $80 million last month but has been slow to spend it. Trump is
    overly reliant on the RNC for staffing in battleground states and has
    not invested any money on the television airwaves.

    Republicans interviewed by The Hill say they don’t expect Priebus or RNC officials would ever publicly run against Trump.

    But if the polls continue moving in Democratic nominee Hillary
    Clinton’s direction, the race could reach a point where conservative
    donors begin earmarking money for House and Senate races and the party’s
    overarching message becomes about electing a GOP Congress to hold
    Clinton accountable in the White House.

    The letter signed by
    Rigell and Ribble is being drawn up by Andrew Weinstein, a former
    spokesman for then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) and a
    communications staffer on Bob Dole’s 1996 presidential campaign.

    It has 123 total signatories, including 10 former House or Senate members and 27 former RNC staffers.

    What’s worse, I cant remember how I got it on there in the first place !
