Hillary Clinton @DNC’16 accepts nomination at ‘moment of reckoning’
Hillary has set the stage for a hard-hitting campaign:
Click here for reuse options!Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, who sacrificed personal ambition for her husband’s political career and then rose to be a globally influential figure, became the first woman to accept a major party’s presidential nomination on Thursday night, a prize that generations of American women have dreamed about for one of their own.
Declaring that the nation was at “a moment of reckoning,” Mrs. Clinton, 68, urged voters to reject the divisive policy ideas and combative politics of the Republican nominee, Donald J. Trump. She offered herself as a steady and patriotic American who would stand up for citizens of all races and creeds and unite the country to persevere against Islamic terrorists, economic troubles, and the chaos of gun violence.

The fair and balanced people presented an edited version of the moment.

I consider it a gift from God that I am alive to witness one of the most significant moments in the history of our country…..geeze there I go getting all mushy

That’s okay. There is nothing wrong with that!

I think a lot of us feel that way Leannie.
Now please pass the Kleenex box.

It’s because we are evolving.

I am a 73 year old woman, when my grandmother was 21 years old, she couldn’t vote. Now, I live long enough to see a woman running for president. I will be so happy when she becomes president in Nov. As an afterthought, does anyone else think that Trump does not want to be president, he only wants to win?

I am so happy for you. As I watched last night , Chelsea introducing her mom,and at the end saying how proud her Grandmother ( Hillary’s mom) would be, I was overcome with the moment. That a woman who spent her life helping, serving ,learning and fighting for her principals , now has a good chance of being the next POTUS is exciting to me as a liberal. Hillary’s opinions have evolved over her life and that’s what makes us human. I did vote foe Bernie because I think he’s focused on the all encompassing problem that the ultra rich are out to own the soul of America by buying it. There’s nothing else left materially for them so they will pay billions to make people think as they think. Maybe Hillary gets that now. She has stated several times she will only appoint SCOTUS justices that will overturn Citizens United.
Trump wants attention,so yeah, the presidency would give him that daily. He’s a clinical narcissist .
Again, congratulations to you and all Hillary supporters. I’m a 63 year old man from a liberal upbringing. My mother would have loved to witness this.

Chelsea mentioning her Grandma was my favorite part of the entire convention…the last thing an abandoned little girl would ever imagine is being the mother of the leader of the free world…..shoot…I’m super proud of my kids when they remember to turn the freaking lights out!

Sigh, this past week has really show us all the “Real America”, in dramatic contrast to the barely camouflaged KKK hate fest last week.
This is an epic week, and the sweep of Gopers from our land has begun.

Unfortunately for a large swath of the country hate and fear sells. Where I (unfortunately) live the only non-whites most people interact with is when they order their General Tso’s Chicken.

Donald Trump Distances Himself From Convention: ‘I Just Showed Up’
In an interview with The New York Times, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump seemingly downplay….

She did not even get a convention bump in the polls, here is today’s Realclearpolitics numbers…she loses either way, with or without the 3rd party candidates counted.

Gary Johnson and Jill Stein have both gotten a huge bump from the worst candidates in American history.
I have gotten several requests to take polls in the last few days (Still have a landline :-( ) and all of them have only had Trump or Clinton as the choices.
That shortsightedness is not doing any of them any good because that is not the only choice on the ballots. I think the MSM is trying to bury all the 3rd party candidates so that they won’t get enough points in polls to participate in the debates.
