Alan Colmes guest last night who is ex-Saturday Night Live said that Christians don’t go by the Old Testament anymore. If that is true, then why do they so often cite “An eye for an eye” (OT) and why do anti-choicers cite OT scriptures (like Psalm 139 & Jeremiah chapter 1) as proof that the fetus has a soul so they can control women’s reproductive choices?

BTW, Psalm 139 and Jeremiah chapter 1 was the author in each case pointing out that “god” possessed omniscience and foreknowledge and knew what David and Jeremiah would do with their lives, and not that David and Jeremiah had a soul in the womb.
