Chestnut set a new record with 70 hot dogs in ten minutes compared to defending champion Matt ‘The Megatoad’ Stonie’s 53 at the Nathan’s Famous annual contest in New York.
The former eight-time Nathan’s champion, who led the entire race, averaged a record-breaking 7.1 dogs a minute as he battled to take back his title from Stonie.
‘This year was the best year ever,’ said Chestnut, who admitted last year’s loss was ‘rough’ but had made him hungry for victory. ‘It’s amazing.’
Stonie trailed 17 hot dogs behind with 53. He was disappointed but said his rival deserved the Mustard Yellow International Belt.

This should be an international event.
Then USA could prove it’s dominance of guzzling crap to the world..
By the way, I am a mustard and onions only guy.

There are few things that hold less interest for me than eating contests. Maybe beauty pageants, but that’s about it.
