James Dobson: Donald Trump has accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior

Posted by | June 25, 2016 15:30 | Filed under: Politics Religion

Focus on the Family founder James Dobson claims The Donald has accepted The Christ.

No, you didn’t accidentally click on The Onion. That’s a factual statement, according to a well-respected evangelical faith leader.

Dr. James Dobson, who was among the more than 900 evangelical faith leaders who met with the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting in New York City, says it happened fairly recently. He also said he knew who led the businessman to Christ.

“I don’t know when it was, but it has not been long,” Dobson told Godfactor’s Michael Anthony in an exclusive interview. “I believe he really made a commitment, but he’s a baby Christian. We all need to be praying for him, especially if there’s a possibility of him being our next chief executive officer.”

“I think that he’s open,” he added. “He doesn’t know our language, he really doesn’t, and he refers a lot to religion and not much to faith and belief.”

if the evangelical already admit to losing America for their ‘God’

      • fredoandme June 26th, 2016 at 14:00

they’re like a virus, a particularly tenacious virus, one, i’m afraid, calls for a kill or cure procedure.

” He hasn’t been a Christian for very long, just since he is running against a Democrat ”
” Jesus would love playing a few rounds at that fancy golf course ”
    ” He’s a billionaire……just like Jesus ”

    why i turned atheist defined

    • Larry Schmitt June 25th, 2016 at 22:30

Newborn Christian Donald Trump’s favourite book in the Bible is “Corinthians 2: This Time it’s Personal.”

  8. Chris June 25th, 2016 at 17:06

James Dobson wouldn’t recognize Christ if his chauffeur hit him with his car.

Funny how if Obama or Hillary said the absolutely tone deaf brayings that Trump gets away with, Dobson most certainly would not forgive them by saying they were “baby Christians.”

BTW, another sign Dobson himself is tone deaf about our government is when he speculates about Trump becoming “our next chief executive officer.” Uh, it’s the country the president leads, not a corporation.

    His comments speaks volumes.

Ha, rump is a baby “Christian” as much as palin is the Virgin Mary.

    • Mike June 25th, 2016 at 18:03

      WTF is a baby christian…??

      • Suzanne McFly June 25th, 2016 at 19:06

        You’ve got me, ask Dobson.

      • RJS June 26th, 2016 at 11:05

The term “baby Christian” refers to someone who is new to Christianity; doesn’t know much about it yet and is just starting out on following/believing in Jesus Christ. But I think evangelicals might need to try to stop using terms like that in public comments because it doesn’t make much sense to anyone who hasn’t grown up in or spent time in evangelical circles.

It is similar to the somewhat more common (but possibly still ill-defined) term “born again;” with the implication that the newly-born-again person is still, metaphorically speaking, a “baby” in their faith. There’s also a part of the New Testament that says you should want to read the Scriptures as much as a newborn baby craves milk. As the person learns more and hopefully practices more tenets of the faith, they are considered to “grow up” as a Christian, although there aren’t really any clearly-defined benchmarks for one’s “spiritual age.” It’s more of a figurative thing.

nd will pass after November when Drumpf loses the elections big time. He will say: “It was only a suggestion”
“I think that he’s open,” he added [Dobson]. “He doesn’t know our language, he really doesn’t, and he refers a lot to religion and not much to faith and belief.” WTF!!!!
I wonder how big Dobson speaks the “language” of Drumpf’s checking book

          • RJS July 3rd, 2016 at 07:49

It does kind of look politically expedient since he’s been meeting with influential evangelical leaders lately who can sway people’s votes, but I really hope that’s not the case. Religion is so often overused and misused in politics. (The terms faith and belief are considered more personal to the individual himself or herself.) I guess time will tell, as you alluded to.

      BADABING!

      YOU NAILED IT TO PERFECTION.

  10. Mike June 25th, 2016 at 18:07

A well-respected evangelical faith leader….is that what they’re calling hateful, racist, bigoted, xenophobes, these days…???
The only thing missing from his resume is a meth filled weekend in a motel with a callboy….

    • granpa.usthai June 26th, 2016 at 13:49

      ah, well, ah hem,

we are all humans , we all have our shortcomings in uh,

      one form or other.

    • Gary Parillo June 26th, 2016 at 18:51

Thats the missing part the national enquirer usually picks up on,give them time?

  11. labman57 June 25th, 2016 at 18:18

Evangelicals fully endorse the concept of “Freedom of Religion”, as well as the acceptance and tolerance of all faiths … just so long as you believe in Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile, Trump claims to have their best interests at heart … while simultaneously attempting to garner support from the LGBT community.
Of course, when you butter both sides of your bread, all you end up with are greasy palms.

  12. Warman1138 June 25th, 2016 at 20:32

I wonder which one did who for the endorsement.

  13. robert June 25th, 2016 at 21:10

Was this before or after he kissed the trumpster ring ?

    • Larry Schmitt June 25th, 2016 at 22:33

I don’t think it was his ring.

  14. Charlie Seivard June 25th, 2016 at 21:29

Trump would endorse Satan is it would get him votes.

    • Carolina Gonzalez June 26th, 2016 at 17:05

lmao!!! – you are correct. He has great admiration for Putin and Kim Jong-un

      • Gary Parillo June 26th, 2016 at 18:47

Emperor Constantine of ancient Rome accepted Jesus also. Then he rejoiced in his new found faith by murdering 2 family members and enforcing christianity by the sword.Wonder what Trump will do?

  15. Larry Schmitt June 25th, 2016 at 22:29

But I don’t think Jesus would accept him.

  16. Larry Schmitt June 25th, 2016 at 22:32

When I was still going to church, waaayy back in my much younger days, I was taught that Christians should be child-like. Drumpf is merely childish, an entirely different thing.

  17. Larry Schmitt June 25th, 2016 at 23:15

How in the hell can people who claim to be Christians support someone who claims he’s never felt the need to ask for forgiveness? That’s what Christianity is built on.

    • Red Mann June 25th, 2016 at 23:38

      That and being persecuted.

      • granpa.usthai June 26th, 2016 at 14:45

US courts still refer to it as PROSECUTION.

  18. Dwendt44 June 26th, 2016 at 01:04

Looks like senility is creeping up on Dobson of late. Talks to imaginary beings, spouts nonsense, believes in things that never happened.

  19. fahvel June 26th, 2016 at 02:46

and Chuey said, “l’il fingered one, you are not on the list. you will never be on the list, your existance makes me think very un me like.”

  20. Mensa Member June 26th, 2016 at 10:34

    >> James Dobson: Donald Trump has accepted Christ

Now if either of them would start acting like Christ.

    • David Ish June 26th, 2016 at 14:08

Christ said “if you love me obey my instructions”
Three instructions of Christ; 1) “Turn the other check”. 2) “Welcome the stranger”, 3) “Give ALL to the poor”

My IQ is 120 how ever I had a stroke 5 yrs ago

Given Dobson et al, say they are Xtian,, wonder why I ‘walked away”?
