Robertson: Drug addicts who don’t work or get treatment should ‘starve to death’

I don’t think Jesus rolled this way.

On “The 700 Club” today, Pat Robertson responded to a question from a viewer who wanted to know what the proper Christian response is to drug addicts in her town who are, she complained, using up government and hospital resources that she has to pay for with her tax dollars. Robertson responded that it was time for some tough love and that drug addicts who refuse to work or seek treatment should simply be allowed to starve to death…

“There are a bunch of people who are just bums and they’re trying to ride in on the charity of others,” Robertson said. “Tough love will say, ‘I’m not going to give you something.’ … If these people are out drugging themselves, let ’em starve to death. I know that sounds hard, but that’s the way it’s got to be.”

Addition is NOT a moral weakness — medical science has know this since the 1930s!

You and Pat are 80 years behind in your knowledge. That is a sin. Shame on you.

What about Subtraction? Multiplication? Long division?

        • Granite Skyline May 19th, 2016 at 17:26

It’s a typo — typos happen to busy people who have a lot on their minds. Of course you wouldn’t know anything about that because your brain isn’t firing on all cylinders.

It points out the ridiculousness of your thinking, or more accurately ” Lack of thinking” People should be able to leach off the state because of a SELF IMPOSED” disability? Who is going to pay for it when everybody decides gubmint needs to support them? Why are you not entitled to free stuff because of a reckless or stupid behavior? Cigarette smokers have an addiction and we tax them while at the same time demonize them. But demonizing smokers is ok because they work for a living, pay their bills, raise their children, pay taxes, contribute to society, contribute to the economy and generally make life possible for the assholes who spend their days intoxicated doing NONE OF THOSE THINGS. Whether you used the word Addition or Addiction makes no difference the thinking behind the later is more ridiculous than the former.

Sorry about your allergy to facts and your addiction to easily disproved falsehoods!

And just the other day I was wondering where you were. We hadn’t heard from you in a while. Happy to see you’re the same old ignorant RER we know and love. Welcome back for more flogging.

It’s my body and I can do what ever I want regardless of the law.

There, you are proven wrong again. I CAN say it.
Weebles wobble but you fall down.

That Pat exists proves that there is no God.

If there were a God, He would have zapped Pat straight to Hell years ago.

Let them starve to death. Because that’s what Jesus would do.

Yup…no more fishies and bread for us….or manna from heaven for that matter.

“There are a bunch of people who are just bums and they’re trying to ride in on the charity of others,” Robertson said.

    Speaking about yourself, eh Pat?

    • Larry Schmitt May 19th, 2016 at 14:55

He doesn’t rely on others’ charity, but on their stupidity. They keep sending him money, and have nothing to show for it.

So says the man who takes donations for a living and is tax exempt…
This M-fer never worked a day in his life.
